Doula Services

Jessica McKee is Linden Tree’s resident doula, as well as one of our beloved birth assistants. Though Linden Tree clients can hire whichever doula feels like the best fit for them, Jess has always been our number one recommendation for doula care. We’ve worked with her for years, seen her in action more times than we can count, and are always amazed by her dedication to her clients and their families. If you want someone who you know will be available to you, tireless in her care, and well-informed about all things pregnancy and birth, then Jess is your doula. Below is her bio:

Jess started her journey into birth work in 2005 when she attended the birth of her niece. She fell in love with birth, learned about doula work, and took her doula training in early 2006. She began attending births as an “official doula” shortly after her training, and started Doulas of the Shenandoah with our very own Kim Haines. She got certified as a doula through DONA, and in her early years attended countless births both in and out of the hospital. Eventually, she fell in love with homebirth. In 2010 she began assisting out-of-hospital midwives as a student/birth assistant. Since then she has been a backup assistant for several local midwives while continuing her doula practice. In 2019 she began assisting Meredith regularly for Linden Tree Midwifery while continuing her busy doula practice. She has attended two Spinning Babies workshops and stays certified in Neonatal Resuscitation. Jess is also a research junkie and has articles about every subject under the sun.

Jess offers a discount to Linden Tree Midwifery clients. Jess’ $900 discounted fee for LTM clients includes:

  • 2 Prenatal Visits
  • Labor Support
  • 1 Postpartum Visit

I recently had my first birth experience and let me tell you one thing immediately: I never, ever would want to repeat the experience without Jess by my side, all 23 hours of it!…Jess was a source of inspiration and comfort…She is informative, providing numerous articles to help aide in our decision making process, non-pressuring, genuine and very real. THANK YOU!
